Nepal: Poon Hill Trek - 10 Days

Big views for a short 5 day trek. This best describes the popular Poon Hill trek in the famous Annapurna region. Though quick, this is a great way to witness incredible views and to experience the thrills of trekking in Nepal without dedicating the 2-3 weeks that is required for the classic mountain treks.

Following part of the classic Annapurna Circuit trail, this trek takes you up to Poon Hill; one of the most popular and famous spots Nepal for viewing the incredible sunrise over the Himalaya. This trek also introduces you to the local Nepalese people, culture and villages that can only be accessed by trekking into the mountains.

This is a great trek for those with limited time or who want to avoid the extreme altitude of the Annapurna Circuit or Base Camp treks , yet still dream of trekking in the shadow of the great Himalayan Mountains.

Places Visited:

The afternoon is a great time to pick up any last minute personal equipment you may need. Kathmandu is a great place to buy supplies for your trek, such as extremely inexpensive, yet quality warm weather clothing, sleeping bags, snacks, etc. Get a good night of sleep tonight, as tomorrow starts your trek to Poon Hill and the Annapurna Region!

Day 3:
Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara

In the morning you will take a picturesque drive from Kathmandu to the town of Pokhara via private car.
