Travel Around the World and live a dream that most people will ever only fantasize about.

26 days, 9 countries, 4 continents and a lifetime of memories, this Head Out Adventures' original trip was designed for the select few of us, the explorers at heart who long for more out of life. It was designed for those of us who long for adventure and breaking new paths, for those of us who long to experience different cultures, traditions, and landscapes. It was designed for those of us who long to experience as much of the world and as much of life as we can.

This fully guided adventure around the globe is the very result of this innate quest. Created with a passion to explore and a pursuit for originality, it is the very first--and the only--adventure of its kind.

It was created with a desire to bring one of life's ultimate adventures to those of us of more modest means, but of unlimited passion. It was created for those of us who long to explore and who strive to make their dreams a reality.

Join us as we explore some of the great destinations in this wonderful world of ours.

Day 1
Los Angeles, California

We meet at the assigned Airport Hotel at 3:00 PM for an 'Adventure Briefing' and for a chance to get to know your Adventure Guides and your fellow travelers for the next 26 days. At about 7:00 PM we travel together to the airport for our evening departure.

NOTE: It is highly recommended that you fly in a day or two early to avoid any pre-trip delays as well as to visit the beautiful city of Los Angeles on your own. If you like, we can help arrange 1 or more optional pre-departure nights at the assigned Airport Hotel (please e-mail or call for pricing details). City tours can be arranged through the hotel concierge desk at most area hotels.

Day 2
Over the Pacific Ocean

Today we fly across the Pacific Ocean and cross the International Date Line in route to the magical islands of Fiji.

Days 3 - 5
Fiji Islands

For 3 wonderful days, we take in the spectacular beauty of the Fijian Islands. Whether you choose to simply lay on the soft white beaches, sail, snorkel, sit by the pool, play tennis or beach volleyball, or take an optional SCUBA dive in the crystal clear tropical South Pacific, you'll surely begin to feel the stresses of real life slowly fade into a distant memory. At night join your guides and travel-mates for dinner and a lively night with the island's own house band and let the fun begin.

Optional Adventures:
  • Scuba diving
  • Massage and spa services.

Day 6
Auckland, New Zealand

We leave the splendors of Fiji for a brief stay in the peaceful city of Auckland. Spend the day taking a leisurely walk down to the harbor, the focal point of the city. Tour an America's Cup yacht, enjoy a pint at a comfortable Irish pub, and visit the Sky Tower for unsurpassed views. But most importantly be sure to chat with a 'Kiwi' or two... the friendly people of this wonderful city.

Cairns, Australia & The Great Barrier Reef

With much anticipation, we eagerly make our way to the famous Australian resort town of Cairns, the gateway to one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World, The Great Barrier Reef.

With 4 full days, you are free to wander the quaint town of Cairns and sample many of the wonderful restaurants and entertaining pubs. Whatever you choose, Cairns is sure to delight you.

  • Sailing: Day sails from Cairns Harbor
  • Whitewater Rafting at the nearby Tully River
  • Day trip to Green Island

Days 13 - 15
Hong Kong, China

Leaving the colorful Great Barrier Reef and the beauty of the South Pacific, we arrive in the cosmopolitan city of Hong Kong. Originally a remote trading outpost under British control, Hong Kong is now one of Asia's premier international cities.

With all the comforts and familiarity installed by the British, Hong Kong still retains a flavor that is uniquely Asian. Wander down to the harbor and absorb the captivating panorama of the city skyline, join a harbor cruise and see the charm of the city from the water, dine at one of the many fantastic restaurants that dot the city or sample the exotic cuisine served up by the numerous street vendors. Take a leisurely walk through the vibrant and charming city streets, or ride the famous mountain tram to the top of Victoria Peak at sunset to get a stunning bird's eye view of the city and harbor.

These are just a taste of what awaits you in Hong Kong. Regardless of what you choose to do, you will certainly discover why Hong Kong deserves its international reputation as one of most visited and alluring cities in the world.

Days 16 - 17
Angkor Wat, Cambodia

Dating back to the 8th century AD, the city of Angkor was the capital of the mighty Khmer Empire of Cambodia (Asia's equivalent to the Roman Empire in Europe) until it was abandon in the mid 15th century when the Siamese (who they were in constant battle with) launch a major attack on Angkor. For nearly 400 years the city was swallowed by the jungle and remained all but hidden until the late 1800's when a French explorer rediscovered it. For the past 100 years the city has undergone extensive restorations and is now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was also the site of filming for the Hollywood movie Laura Croft, Tomb Raider.

For two days we will explore the magnificent architecture and sites that make up the ancient city of Angkor. Highlights include South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphoun, Terrace of Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King, and the fabulous and most famous Angkor Wat. Be sure to catch the stunning sunset from Phnom Bakheng and the early morning sunrise from Angkor Wat, as well as the optional 10 minute balloon ride (attached to a cable) for breath-taking views of Angkor and the surrounding area.

We return to Bangkok on the afternoon of day two, still in awe of the magical city of Angkor.

Days 18 - 19
Bangkok, Thailand

We arrive in Bangkok for two days of free time to spend as you like.

Enjoy a traditional Thai massage, shop at one of the many local markets, have inexpensive yet quality clothes made-to-fit at one of the countless Thai tailors, take a city tour in a local tuk tuk and drive by the Royal Palace, visit the numerous Buddhist temples that grace the city (no shorts or sleeveless shirts allowed) and ride through the busy streets of Chinatown, take an adventurous river tour of the city on a traditional long boat, explore the famous nightlife of Patpong, or take a Thai cooking class.

The choices are endless in this unique and energetic city. With plenty of activities available to travelers in Bangkok, you'll wish you had more time to explore this fascinating city.

Days 20 - 22
Dubai, UAE

A city of vast and exciting contradictions, Dubai is quickly becoming the new playground of the world's richest. It is a historical gem of ancient trading kiosks and century's old architecture that is seamlessly intermixed with a modern skyline and the latest of western products and stores. It is a city rich in tradition and culture and is dotted with beautiful and ancient mosques, yet it is a religiously and culturally tolerant and accepting country. And while traditional Arab dress is the norm on the streets, western attire is a common and conventional mix in the crowds.

On our first full day in Dubai we take a group tour of the city. We will explore the fascinating history of this small Emirate and take a look at the mind-boggling steps being taken by Dubai's Royal Family to create a world class city. Highlights may include a look at Dubai Burj al Arab Hotel (the world's only 7 star hotel), SkiDubai (the world's third largest indoor ski slope), Palm Island, and many other astonishing sites.

On our second full day in Dubai you have the morning free to explore the city on your own. In early afternoon we leave for an exhilarating overnight 4X4 adventure deep into the immense Arabian Desert. Safe in the comforts of our plush 4X4, our expert driver will wind through the beautiful red sand, climb enormous adrenaline rushing sand dunes, and stop for awe-inspiring photo opportunities. The evening finds us at a traditional desert tent camp where we will have the chance to take a camel ride, try our hand at sand-boarding, share in a traditional BBQ dinner, smoke apple tobacco through a traditional shisha pipe, and watch a glamorous and exotic belly dance performance. We spend the night in an authentic Bedouin camp under the bright and silent stars far from the glare of the city lights. It is a night you will remember for years to come.

Day three is a free day to explore the ancient trading kiosks or wander the city in search of adventure.

Day 23 - 25
Rome & Tuscany, Italy - B, L (day 2)

Steeped in a fascinating history that dates back thousands of years, Rome is both a sophisticated modern city and a living museum of architectural treasures, historical monuments and buildings, stunning churches, and mesmerizing ruins. Arriving from Dubai mid afternoon, the first and second days in Rome are free to explore on your own or with your travel mates.

On day three we will take a group day trip to Italy's Tuscany region just to the north of Rome. Dazzling landscapes, spectacular hill towns, and world-renown vineyards are just a small taste of what makes Tuscany so alluring. But this taste is all you will need to set in motion the planning of your next trip to this surreal and enthralling country.

Day 26
Over the Atlantic (Rome to LA)

Full of new dreams, new friendships, incredible experiences, and a multitude of memories, we reluctantly cross the Atlantic Ocean and the continental United States in route to Los Angeles.

We bid fond farewells to our new friends and excitedly share our amazing adventures with our family and friends. And while we know that our memories will surely live with us for years to come, through nostalgic dreams and reminiscent stories, we also know that we are explorers at heart. We are that rare breed of over curious and ever inquisitive. It's simply who we are. So inevitably, as all great explorers do, we will once again begin the inescapable and ever-exciting process of trying to find our next great adventure.

Optional post-adventure hotel available on request.
