Sample the Cultural Rajasthani Dances in Ranthambore before venturing out on an early morning jeep safari inside the jungles of Ranthambhore, where the remains of a thousand-year-old fortress, have been reclaimed by nature, having become a wildlife sanctuary, where leopards and tigers prowl the ruins.
Explore Jaipur, known as the ‘pink city’. A land of forts, palaces and temples and is basically the city of culture, tradition and crafts. Ride an elephant for a slow but steady climb up to the main gate of the impressive Amber Fort. Barter at the busy market place, renowned for its jewelry trade and Lakh bangles.

Day 1
Delhi
Traditional garland and welcome drink on arrival. Guided transfer to hotel by private air-conditioned transport. Rest and recuperate. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 2
Delhi, Agra (B, L, D)
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi City. Visit the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Positioned along the Yamuna River, this irregular octagon is surrounded by a wall of approximately 2.4km in circumference and built of red sandstone. Pass through the Red Fort, built in the 17th century and entered through two famous main entrances, the Delhi Gate and Lahore Gate. Continue the tour with a visit to Raj Ghat (Mahatma Gandhi’s place of cremation), followed by the India Gate, a 42m stone arch built in the memory of the Indian soldiers that died in World War II.
After Lunch drive to Agra by private air-conditioned transport. On arrival, check into the hotel. Overnight in Agra.
Day 3
Agra (City of Love) (B, L, D)
Morning ride to the enormous Agra Fort. The elegant buildings inside reflect an interesting synthesis of Hindu and Central Asian architectural styles. The maze of the courtyards, mosques and private chambers of the fort echo the tales of the Mughal Empire. The Moti Masjid and other magnificent buildings reflect the skill of the ancient Indian architects.
Lunch at a famous South Indian city restaurant, then venture into the busy market areas to barter on world renowned Silken Kashmiri Rugs. Later that afternoon enjoy a sunset tour of the Taj Mahal, which portrays the true love of Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz. The Taj Mahal is perhaps the most photographed monument in the world, however, no matter how many pictures you have seen or how high your expectations are the Taj Mahal never disappoints. Besides perfect symmetry in every aspect of its construction, the inlay work of semi precious stones into marble in pieta durra style is absolutely remarkable.
Later visit a working marble factory in Agra, witness a live show of skilled craftsmanship by the workers inlaying the interjecting stones exactly as their predecessors did in the time of Mughals. Visit the famous Indian Spices and Recipe Book Shop. Evening at your leisure. Overnight in Agra.
Day 4
Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, Bharatpur, Ranthambore (B, L, D)
A morning departure for Bharatpur, famous for its wildlife sanctuary. En-route visit the ‘Ghost City’ - Fatehpur Sikri built in red sandstone in honor of Saint Salim Chisti who foretold the birth of 3 sons to Emperor Akbar. This structure is an example of robust stability combined with originality. It is here people pray at the shrine and tie cotton threads in the belief that their wishes will be fulfilled. Each important edifice here represents its very own story. Notable among them is the Diwane Khas, Punch Mahal, Tomb of Salim Chisti, and Buland Darwaza.
Upon arrival in Bharatpur, board the super fast train to Ranthambore (approx. 2 1/2 hours). On arrival in Ranthambore, receive a guided hotel transfer. During the evening view the jungle slide show and later witness the Cultural Rajasthani Dances followed by a special jungle dinner. Overnight in Ranthambore.
Day 5
Ranthambore (B, L, D)
Venture out on an early morning jeep safari accompanied by a naturalist who will take you on an exciting journey inside the jungles of Ranthambhore, where the remains of a thousand-year-old fortress, have been reclaimed by nature. Today, it is a wildlife sanctuary, where leopards and tigers prowl the ruins.
Ranthambore is one of the few preserves where the nocturnal, camera-shy tigers may actually be seen in daylight. Enjoy the thrilling game drives throughout the morning in search of wildlife.
After the game drive return for breakfast/lunch at the hotel. After Lunch visit Ranthambore fort. Evening at your leisure. Overnight in Ranthambore.
Day 6
Ranthambore (B, L, D)
Experience the thrill of a second early morning jeep safari with a visit to the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, accompanied by a naturalist.
After Breakfast enjoy a free day to explore the area. Overnight in Ranthambore.
Day 7
Ranthambore, Jaipur (The City of Jewels) (B, L, D)
Morning departure for Jaipur, known as the ‘Pink city’. On arrival, check into the hotel. Lunch at a famous city restaurant. The afternoon is free to spend at your leisure.
In the evening enjoy a night of Rajasthani Folk Dance at the ethnic village of Chokhi Dhani, where you will experience the cultures and tradition of Rajasthan. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 8
Jaipur (B, L, D)
Jaipur, the Rajput City is a land of forts, palaces and temples and is basically the city of culture, tradition and crafts. Enjoy a morning excursion to the impressive Amber Fort situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur City. At the foot of the hill you will mount an elephant for the slow but steady climb up to the main gate, making your entrance in the time honored fashion. A must–do in Jaipur is shopping, notably for jewelry and the famous Lakh bangles. Jaipur is one of the most active jewel markets in the world, famous for its precious and semi precious stones.
Lunch at an ethnic restaurant with its unique Turban Museum displaying over 90 traditional ways of tying a turban. Jaipur is also famous for its textiles. Visit live demonstrations of block printing in cotton/silk at a textile factory where 100’s of men and women perform their skills. It is possible to try, fit or order a new Indian comfortable traditional outfit (for Ladies/Gents), which would be stitched, designed and customized to your size in just a few hours. Evening at your leisure. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 9
Jaipur, Delhi (B, L)
Take a morning visit to the ‘City Palace’, a museum which dislays elaborate wardrobes, magnificent armory and intricately carved weapons. Continue on to Hawa Mahal, the Wind Palace, admire from where the palace queen would watch the activities of the huge bazaar. After lunch transfer to Delhi by private air-conditioned transport. On arrival, transfer by air-conditioned private transport to the International Airport for your flight home.

Travel as light as possible. Clothing and laundry are both quite inexpensive.
Women should dress conservatively. Avoid tank tops or short skirts/shorts. The best outfit, especially during the hot summers, is a T-shirt worn with loose cotton trousers. If you are adventurous, wear the Indian 'salwar-kameez', it is very comfortable.
Do not forget to remove your footwear when visiting a place of worship or mausoleum.
Drink only bottled water. Beef is not served in India. Pork is also not easily available. Vegetarian food is easily available, cheap, and of excellent quality.
