The next morning we'll take a boat ride across the beautiful Red Sea, then explore the amazing city of Petra and stunning scenery of Wadi Rum. Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1 (Sat - 4/2)
Arrive in Cairo
Meet and greet at the Cairo International Airport, with assistance through the passport control & customs formalities. Transfer to the 4 star hotel in Cairo. The trip officially begins with an early evening get-together to meet the Club Trip Leader and your fellow members who will be joining you on this amazing trip through Egypt.

Day 2 (Sun - 4/3)
Pyramids of Giza & Egypt tour. Overnight 1st class sleeper train (B)
We start this tour off right, with a visit to the famous Pyramids of Giza! We’ll spend a good part of the day exploring this Ancient Wonder of the World, then head out to see the equally famous Sphinx and Valley Temple. We’ll also stop by the impressive Egyptian Museum, before finally being transferred to the railway station to take our exciting overnight train ride on a 1st class sleeper train.

Day 3 (Mon - 4/4)
Luxor and Valley of the Kings tour
Arriving at the Luxor train station in the morning, we will go straight to our guided excursion of the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut (the powerful Egyptian queen), and visit the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch we will visit the splendid Luxor Temple and Karnak Temples. In the late afternoon we will transfer to our hotel for check in. The evening and next day are free to relax or explore.

Day 4 (Tue - 4/5)
Free Day / Optional Light Show at Karnak Temple (B)
Today is a free day to do as you like. Relax by the hotel pool along the shore of the Nile River or explore the wonderful town of Luxor. At night you may want to check out the famous light show at Karnak Temple (optional and arranged on your own with the hotel).

Day 5 (Wed - 4/6)
Aswan and Temple of Philae tour. (B)
After breakfast we transfer by air-conditioned vehicle to Aswan where we will visit the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk, then on to the beautiful Temple of Philae, which is dedicated to the goddesses Isis and Hathor. The remainder of the afternoon is free to relax or, if you choose, take a taxi and check out the famous market of Aswan.

Day 6 (Thurs - 4/7)
Tour of Abu Simbel Temples. Sail the Nile on a felucca boat. Overnight 1st class sleeper train (B)
Making a very early pre-dawn start, we will take our much anticipated trip by coach to the impressive Temples of Ramses II at Abu Simbel. After visiting these awe-inspiring temples along the shore of Lake Nasser, we return to Aswan. In the afternoon we will sail along the Nile and around Elephantine Island in a traditional felucca boat, then board our 1st class sleeper train for the overnight ride back to Cairo.

Day 7 (Fri - 4/8)
Return to Cairo. Afternoon Free
We’ll be met at the train station in Cairo and transferred to our hotel. The afternoon is free to do as you like. At night you may want to check out the famous light show at the Pyramids of Giza (optional and arranged on your own with the hotel).

Day 1 (Sat - 4/9)
Red Sea Resort Stay in Taba, Egypt
In the morning we’ll be picked up from our hotel in Cairo and transfer to Taba via an air-conditioned modern vehicle, crossing under the Suez Canal along the way. The afternoon and evening are yours to relax. Be sure to take a swim in the crystal clear waters of the Red Sea!

Day 2 (Sun - 4/10)
Taba to Petra via Red Sea Ferry (B)
In the morning we’ll be picked up from our hotel and transferred to the Taba Marina, where we’ll take a ferry boat across the Red Sea to the Jordanian port city of Aqaba. From there we travel to the magical "Rose Red City" of Petra (one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, and also the backdrop to the 3rd Indian Jones movie). We’ll spend the afternoon exploring this amazing city with its buildings carved right into the cliffs of the narrow red rock gorges; including the beautiful Treasury, Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs, and Qasr Al Bint. Evening is free to explore the town outside Petra.

Day 3 (Mon - 4/11)
Wadi Rum tour. Overnight in a Bedouin Camp. (B, D)
After breakfast we drive 1.5 hrs to Wadi Rum, one of the most impressive desert landscapes in the world. The area was made famous in the west by Lawrence of Arabia who described it as "vast, echoing and god-like". Discover the area featured by rugged mountains and colored sand dunes during an exciting 4x4 Jeep tour. In the evening we’ll have an unforgettable dinner under the starry sky & an overnight in tents at a traditional Bedouin camp.

Day 4 (Tue - 4/12)
Return to Cairo (B)
Crossing the Red Sea in the morning via ferry, we return to our same hotel in Cairo via air conditioned vehicle. We try to arrive back in Cairo before mid-night (traffic and ferry permitting).

This is a very active trip and we will see some of the most amazing sights in the world (including two of the Seven Wonders of the World - if you do both Egypt and Petra). We have built in some free time into the itinerary, but we will also cover a lot of ground. Be prepared to be on the go traveling and exploring these amazing sights most of each day. But also prepare to be absolutely awestruck!
