Day 1
Arrive in Shannon. Cliffs of Moher visit.

Our trip starts bright and early as we meet in the lobby of the start hotel in Shannon (details to be provided). From here, we'll head out on a full day visit to the Cliffs of Moher. Stretching almost five miles and over 700 feet above the Atlantic Coast, an incredible vista awaits you. After visiting the cliffs, we'll likely head to Bunratty Castle for a short visit and an optional lunch at The Original Dirty Nelly's pub. In the late afternoon we will return to our hotel in Shannon where we will spend the night.

At night you can join the group in the local pub for an optional dinner and get to know your fellow trip mates.

NOTE: you must arrive at the start hotel by 7:00 AM on day one (July 19) if you want to join the group to the Cliffs of Mohr. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you arrive one day early (on July 18) so you can experience the Cliffs of Mohr and can also adjust to the time zone change... an extra night room is available for purchase during checkout. Please contact the Global Expeditions Club at 617.645.7689 or info@GlobalExpeditionsClub.com if you would like information/advice on booking an extra night hotel.

Overnight Shannon.

Day 2
Visit Dingle and the Dingle Peninsula. (B)

After a hearty Irish breakfast, we head out south to the Dingle Peninsula to explore the quintessential west coast that makes Ireland so famous. We'll stop first in the town of Tralee for a little free time, then head out and for a visit to the quaint seaside town of Dingle before continuing on to the town of Killarney were we will spend the next 2 nights. Killarney, the town on the lakes, is famous for its lively pubs and open, cheerful atmosphere, full of what the Irish call “craic!” – Gaelic for fun. Tonight why not head out into town for some good old fashion Irish fun with your fellow GEC club members.

Overnight Killarney.

Day 3
Ring of Kerry tour. (B)

Getting a bright and early start, we will travel the road that winds around the beautiful Iveragh Peninsula, better known as The Ring of Kerry. It is undoubtedly one of the most magical places in all of Ireland. Here mountains, valleys, lakes and sea blend into a landscape that is breathtaking beyond words. A number of stops will allow us to marvel at the spectacular scenery; exploring Torc Waterfall, walking around the colorful village of Sneem and pausing at Moll's Gap for amazing views of the Lakes of Killarney. Later we will return to Killarney, where the balance of the day is free to explore the delightful town.

Overnight Killarney.

Day 4
Blarney Castle/Stone. Blarney Woolen Mills. (B)

Starting off the day after a hearty Irish breakfast, we leave Killarney and head out southeast towards County Cork for a visit to Blarney Castle with its magical stone that gives the gift of eloquence for a kiss. We will also stop at the Blarney Woolen Mills to shop before continuing on to the beautiful city of Cork where we'll spend the night.

Overnight Cork.

Day 5
Rock of Cashel. Dublin city tour. (B)

We depart from Cork in the morning and travel towards Dublin, via the small town of Cashel where we will for a tour of the unforgettable Rock of Cashel castle. The dramatic limestone rock crowned with secular and religious buildings dominates the flat countryside for miles around. Travel on through the Curragh, the heart of Ireland’s equestrian country, and arrive in Dublin early this afternoon.

Upon arrival, the driver will give us a short city orientation tour, introducing Dublin’s grand architectural treasures, beautiful Georgian squares and history stretching back more than 1,000 years. You will then have some free time to enjoy the city to shop and grab some dinner. Tonight you can choose to join the group as we explore some of Dublin’s many lively pubs in the Temple Bar area.

Overnight Dublin.

Day 6
Free day Dublin to Explore City. (B)

Today is a free day to spend as you like. Venture off with your new friends or join the club leader on an informal walking tour of some of Dublin’s treasures, including a visit to the Guinness Brewery (admission not included), Jameson Whiskey Factory (admission not included), Brazen Head - Ireland’s oldest pub, Trinity College and the Book of Kells, or other famous sights.
