You will also get to meet your fellow travel companions for this trip. The remainder of the day/evening is yours to relax and enjoy the beautiful gardens and outdoor pool of the hotel
MARANGU VILLAGE & LOCAL COFFEE FARM WALK ON SLOPES OF MT KILIMANJARO
After breakfast, travel with the group on a guided walk on the lower slopes of Mt Kilimanjaro. Here you will have a chance to walk through the village of Marangu, meet some of the locals, and see how coffee is grown on local coffee farms that dot the lush slopes of Mt Kilimanjaro. (Breakfast and lunch included).
After a hearty breakfast you will meet up with your guide and drive 3-4 hours through the countryside from Moshi to Lake Manyara, stopping for lunch enroute. In the afternoon you will experience your first game drive at Lake Manyara National Park. The park is famous for its huge variety of birdlife (almost 400 different species) and for its elephant population and tree-climbing lions. Overnight is an excellent mid-range safari lodge. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included)
SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Getting another early start, you will drive 3-4 hours to the gates of the world famous Serengeti National Park, view various animals along the way and stopping at the Olduvai Gorge for lunch. After lunch you will be taken on a spectacular afternoon game drive through the Serengeti Plains tracking the great animals of Africa.
Tonight you will spend an exciting night in a comfortable and luxurious tent camp out in the middle of the Serengeti Plains. This fantastic luxury tent camp is equipped with a basic private shower and toilet, and comfortable beds, giving you the excitement of camping, but with all the comforts of a hotel. This is definitely an amazing experience that you'll remember forever! (Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included)
SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Following a delicious breakfast you will head out and spend a full day continuing to explore the vast and spectacular Serengeti. Your guide will know the best places to find the constantly moving and sometimes elusive animals of these great plains. Again you will spend an amazing night in the Serengeti at a luxury tent camp. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included)
NGORONGORO CRATER & MASAI MARA VILLAGE VISIT
Leaving the amazing Serengeti Plains after a morning game drive, you will make a stop at an authentic Masai Mara Village. Here you'll get a chance to interact with this famous tribe and see how they live day to day.
After visiting the Masai Mara Village, you'll make your way to the incredible Ngorongoro Crater National Park. Perhaps more awe-inspiring than the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater is not only one of nature’s true wonders, it is also a photographer’s dream. Being the largest intact crater in the world, Ngorongoro is the massive remnants of a once mighty volcano that collapsed upon itself 2 million years ago. The result is an unbroken circular wall that measures 2,000 feet high, 10 miles across and features a flat, fertile floor. Due to its height, passing clouds get caught up on the crater, providing precious rainwater all year. Today the crater is a self-contained, year-round Garden of Eden for 30,000 plus animals of all kinds and the perfect spot for safaris any day of the year. Ngorongoro is, beyond question, a sight that you will never forget. Overnight is an excellent mid-range safari lodge. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included)
VISIT BUSH TRIBE
In the morning, you'll travel deep into the countryside and visit a nomadic Bush Tribe. You'll see how the Bush people live day to day, make their own bows and arrows, and if it's a hunting day you may have the opportunity to join them as they search for food for the tribe.
In the afternoon, travel back to Moshi. (Breakfast and lunch are included)
Your adventure ends after breakfast. At the appropriate time, if you purchased airport transfers, you are transferred to the airport for your flight home. (Breakfast is included)
Prices are based on double occupancy in twin rooms/tents (2 beds). If you would like your own hotel room, please choose the optional single supplement at check out. If you do not mind being paired up with a roommate of the same gender, then the single supplement does not apply. NOTE: due to space limitations, single tents may not be available even if you pay the single supplement
All Prices are "LAND ONLY". You are responsible for making your own international flight arrangements between your home city and Kilimanjaro airport in Tanzania (code: JRO) as per the itinerary. However, flights SHOULD NOT be booked until you receive a written guarantee that the Land Only portion of your trip has been fully booked. Prices are subject to change. Please contact us or the Global Expeditions Club with questions and/or if you would like advice on how to find the best flight for you and/or which flights other members are taking.
